I have collected hunting books for the last 30 years then got big time into it the last ten years.I ened up with too many good books. You have to watch this obcession its worse than guns.I ended up with over 4,000 books over 30 something years.I reduced my guns a few years back.I hated seeing them just sit in boxes doing nothing for me.I ended up with a good piece of land in Alaska , my house and 5th wheel in Alaska getting rid of 30 years of collecting guns. Its now time to do it too my books. When there is no more space for more deer heads and the book cases are packed so full double deep till they pull at your sheet rock on the walls its time to thin them out.I read Russell Annabel till I couldnt read any more then headed for Alaska.I followed his trails and found two of his old cabins and people who knew him.I made my own adventures and ate porcupine and Lynx just as he did and it was good like he said.I still want to go to Salmon Idaho where elmer Keith lived .I passed by there driving back to Alaska didnt have time to stop.I will go back soon.I finally go to meet Craig Boddington year before last .It was awesome to meet him at Safari show.He is very down to earth and trained in Alaska where I live at Ft Greely. Its awesome to meet your favorite author or retrace their tracks and trails.I have had many of my own adventures and and writing a book myself.Alaska was a million times better than I had read or seen on TV.I have my books in the classified section or you can just email me at muskox1@excite.com

I use to go to book fairs and get hundreds at a time.I about squished my bronco doing so one time.I love old books they are way better than the new ones. The elephant hunting books of the old days are awesome. They killed thousands of elephants.I think a big elephant hunter now might have 5 elephants. It was a business to them.Russell Annabel rode horses in Alaska from the Kenai to the Alaska Range around 600 miles each way. That was some hard hunting.I am keeping one set of Elmer Keith,Russell Annabel,Robert Ruark,Peter capstick and a few more but the rest gotta go.I still need around 4 more signed Keith Books.I am looking for The Old Man and The boy Signed by Ruark its high and hard to find.He got me back into bird hunting and Annabel got me to Alaska.I never wanted to shoot an elephant till I read John Taylors books.I have 3 elephant rifles aint seen and elehpant yet.I guess I will have to go to africa .
