I posted this several years ago but for newcomers here is a great book. Author P.J. Praetorious tells of his exploits in Africa during the 1st world war.Also Wilbur Smith stole a good many of P.J.'s experiences in his novel "Shout at the Devil".(Smith denies it,but I find it quite a bit beyond coincidence).Excellent reading;I highly recommend it. Probably have to hit Amazon as I believe it to have been out of print for years.Worth the search though.

It's a "must read". High adventure from a different time. It runs out of steam a bit at the end.

This is an excellent book. I really liked it as well.
