I had the pleasure, and it surely was, of meeting Fiona Capstick and Adelino Serras-Pires at the Dallas SC show this past week. A finer couple you will be hard put to find. She is a lady of the first order, and Adelino an unassuming gentleman with a wealth of experiences in the bush that one can only dream about.
If you have not already done so, obtain and read Winds of Havoc. You will marvel at what this man endured. But that is the past, and today you will find a man upbeat, positive, and enthusiastic.
I also bought Fiona's book, The Diana Files, but have not had a chance to read it as yet.
Looking forward to that soon.
Shame they will not be at SCI where more of you could have a chance to meet them.

DPhillipsI have not met either Fiona or Adelino, but have read Winds of Havoc (
review) and thought the book was a fine a tribute to the horrors Andelino and sons endured. I cannot imagine the adventure and life Andelino led, nor the nightmare his life spiraled into because of Mozambique's ruling party's paranoia.
I hope the rest of his days find him peace and paradise.
