This is one of the best, if not the best, collection of hunting tales assembled by one man. Jack Atcheson (Keith's father) is a writer of 1st note. I laughed out loud on one page and was anxious and scared on the next. His story of Jack O'Connor's last hunt really tugs at your heart strings. The tale of hunting Bongo is Zaire is hair raising. I live in Alaska and spend about 200 days a year in some remote spots working, and spend another 30 or so hunting. The rest are spent snow-shoeing, fishing and hiking. The stories of Alaska are right on the money. I've worked and hunted at Icy Bay and Keith describes it very well in his tale about the rain goats. This is a top-notch book by an outstanding author and an all around good guy. If you haven't read this book, do so. Whatever the top rating is for a book should be given to this one!!! YJ By the way, you can find at Atcheson's website. | ||
