This is a classic old sheep hunting book about the adventure of two Europeans and their wives heading to Siberia, China and Mongolia to hunt Ovis Ammon (Altai sheep).

Takes place in 1897 and lasts several months in very remote country. The wives went everywhere and actually did some shooting. This is a lot of stories of stalks on sheep and ibex - some successful and some not.

He writes well and this is a fun read. If you are into sheep hunting or just in need of a fun book that takes place in a time and place none of us will ever know, get it. You can get a reprint on Amazon very cheap or an old copy for several hundred dollars on Abebooks.com
