anybody read this? Excellent book, entertaining, and informatively written. My one issue is that he dismisses Cape Buffalo with one sentence. "You shoot, the buffalo runs off, you hear the death bellow, and go collect him.". Or words to that effect.

I am not so sure he was "dissing" buff and buff hunters. The tone of his words, to me, said that there are scores of books about buff and buff hunting and he did not need to elaborate here. I may be wrong, however.

I like his book as it contains some very good info. As does Boddington's.

Like I said, great book. That one-liner about Buff just gave me pause. You could not go wrong reading this book thru, twice, before heading to Africa.
