Here's another book some of you might find of interest. "The Fate of Africa. A History of Fify Years of Independence." by Martin Meredith. Copywrite 2005 ISBN 13-978-1-58648- 246-6. This book details, country by country, dictator by dictator the history of each Afican country since "The Winds of Change" swepted across the African continent following WWII.

Some of it is very dry, some of it is decidedly liberal as it soft-sells the violence of the Congo and The Emergency. But for those who wish to delve deeper than the land and the game in their understanding and appreciation of all things Africa, it's worth the time and effort.
