vagrouserWho for rare book appraisal?
Hi all,
I acquired from the UK a 1st ed. copy of Pondoro-Last of the Ivory Hunters, signed by John Taylor. It's been on my shelf for some time and I'm interested in having it professionally appraised. I read that Safari Press offers this service; however, they seem geared to evaluate whole collections rather than single titles and have a minimum flat fee of $250 per 10 books.
Can anyone recommend an appraiser (preferably in the US) for this? I plan on asking Safari Press if they'll help with just this one title (at something less than $250), but was hoping someone here may know of other reputable appraisers.
Here is a link to this particular book:

VinnyAppraisals are one thing and a sale price is another. Good luck.
