This book is definitely not "me and Joe went on safari" type stuff. Although his reference point is doctoring for the LORD in Zambia, and hunting to provide meat for his many hostile patients, these short stories are about the real experience of a local. Rather than coming across as an expert, Jim Foulkes simply relates his experiences in a time when image wasn't nearly as "managed" as today's usual offerings.

Recommended to those not centered on trophy hunts!
