MacawberRe: Good read
I've read all the Ruark books, read "Something of Value " in 1965 it was life changing for me. I liked all of his books, but I think this was the best one.

Ma BellYou might also be interested in "The Old Man's Boy Grows Older". I can't lay hands on my copy to tell you publish date, but you can search it I'm sure.
Also a must read, if you haven't already, is "Horn of the Hunter" published by Doubleday in 1953. This is my personal favorite.

Good Reading,
MaBell

Ma BellFrank,
I just checked on:
www.safaripress.comand Ruark's "Horn of the Hunter" is available there.
You should also give Jim Corbett a read, "Maneaters of Kumaon" is a good place to start.
Good Reading,
MaBell
