FYI, a reprint run of 1000 copies are now available. As well, a six volume series has begun on his hunting career. The first volume is in print now. Also a run of 1000. I am getting all seven with the same number.

That is great news. The price for Mahohboh had skyrocketed and it is really too valuable of a book for any elephant hunter to be without.

I don't think any book can hold a candle to Mahohboh when it comes to making the shot on Elephant.

Hunting in Africa is an adventure. The number of variables involved preclude the possibility of a perfect hunt. Some problems will arise. How you decide to handle them will determine how much you enjoy your hunt.

Just tell yourself, "it's all part of the adventure." Remember, if Robert Ruark had gotten upset every time problems with Harry
Selby's flat bed truck delayed the safari, Horn of the Hunter would have read like an indictment of Selby. But Ruark rolled with the punches, poured some gin, and enjoyed the adventure.

The author is in the process of doing the reprint. He has also begun a series of six books of his life and hunting career.
he can be reached (Email) at magron@ripplesoft.co.za

The first book and the Mahohboh airmailed here is R1400. That is $200 or a hair less. Mahohboh is R600, or $80.

Just received Mahohboh and the first volume in Ron's autobiographical series this week. Funny he sent them to my work address and my secretary opened them not knowing what they were--got the page that my elephant hunting books had arrived! I've only had a chance to skim through both, but wow do they look great. Quality of both books looks fine and nicely inscribed as per his website. You guys will enjoy these for sure. . .
Thanks for the earlier tip.

Mine both came as well last week. Fantastic reading. It is about impossible to make a book this factual and detailed and still have it such a fascinating and enjoyable one. Five Stars!

The first book in the series of six is even better. How neat that a hunter still in his prime can turn out a set this valuable.
