This isn't a hunting book, or a gun book (unless WWI and WWII are about guns) but an excellent book with Tooze's theory about the rise of American domination. It doesn't read like an airport paperback by any means, it's dense. But most history books don't tackle the finance and economic aspects of political history, this one does. The Deluge, by Adam Tooze.
