(Posted this under African Big Game Hunting as well.) Anyone have a copy of this book in their library? It has some wonderful information in it that would be very helpful to me in researching and restoring a rifle I picked up recently. It was written by Edwin S. George in 1926.

Thro' many warlike ages,
Is wrought now by a coward few,
For hireling traitor's wages.

Holland and Holland Mauser action sold to Hoffman Arms in 1924. A Hoffman Arms barrel and rear sights were sold on Ebay back in December as well, not to me unfortunately.

Still looking for a copy of this book! So far I've found a copy of "Safari Trail" by T. Murray Smith which had some good information for me. The Detroit adventurers where his first clients. I also found a reference to the "Waldron Expedition" in a Hoffman Arms Co. advertisement.

That book is held by less than 20 libraries in the States.

I didn't wade through to see what it takes to access the digital copy at the Hathi Trust (#10).
