First let me say I wrote this book under contract, and won't receive another dime for it.

However, some of you may be interested in knowing that Safari Press has released "Royal Quest," the authorized biography I wrote about Prince Abdorreza of Iran, in a $100 trade edition.

It originally was available only as a super-deluxe, Moroccon leather-bound edition of 50 copies (for $1,250 each!) and a limited edition of 450 for $320 each.

Abdorreza without a doubt did more hunting for more species than anyone before or since. His wealth and his station in life (brother of Iran's last shah} opened doors that will never open again.

He was a very private person and this is the only book ever written about him.

Thanks for the heads-up Bill. Safari Press is sending it to me. I appreciate the info. I had the pleasure of meeting the Prince many years ago. I'm looking forward to the book.

A 7x57 given to his wife by Jack O'Connor was the first rifle he used with a scope. He used a variety of calibers during his long hunting career. Many of them were built by Al Biesen.

There is little I can add, other than the fact that the Prince believed his title entitled him to preferential treatment long after his brother's regime had collapsed.

Money will do that to a man...

Women, now, are born with that attitude and just grow into it.
