Has anyone read this book? It is the story about Professional Hunter Sten Cedegren. I saw a short interview with him on Buzz's DVD.He seemed like a fellow with plenty of hunting experience.Sten worked for a renowned safari company in Kenya.

Many people like this book. I did not.

From a readers point of view I did not believe that the book lived up to the life Sten led. JMHO.

Hunting in Africa is an adventure. The number of variables involved preclude the possibility of a perfect hunt. Some problems will arise. How you decide to handle them will determine how much you enjoy your hunt.

Just tell yourself, "it's all part of the adventure." Remember, if Robert Ruark had gotten upset every time problems with Harry
Selby's flat bed truck delayed the safari, Horn of the Hunter would have read like an indictment of Selby. But Ruark rolled with the punches, poured some gin, and enjoyed the adventure.

I just finished reading the book.Sten tell his career story from the beginning until the end.He writes about his most memorable hunts with clients from all over the world.I enjoyed reading it.There is a bit of everything inside. He says that if it were not for his heavy double rifle he would not be around to write the book.It was interesting reading about the communication between the PH and the company owner when clients book a hunt etc..
