AMEN to that! Elmer is my all-time favorite gunwriter. He most likely forgot more than most of our "experts" of today know about guns, ballistics, big game hunting, etc. I never tire of hearing his stories and would have loved to have met him. He must have been quite a character and from all accounts I've heard even if you just showed up at his door in Salmon,ID he'd put on a pot of coffee and invite you in for a chat. You don't see that anymore...

I've got all his books except Safari. One of them is autographed and dated by him and is a cherished book indeed.
