Went out on Friday and killed a few pigeons at the farm. They are eating wheat. The problem is you shoot at them two passes and they leave.

Anyway, spent yesterday making stock off them, shredded the meat, and made a wonderful pigeon, mushroom, risotto.

Our best recipe for pigeons is a stew.

Cut onions, garlic, tomatoes, dried lime and spices of your choice and salt

Put everything in a large pot.

Bring to the boil, cover a let simmer for 2 hours.

Absolutely delicious with Basmati rice.
