I have a 28 gauge auto loader and so far so good. No failures of any kind on two outings. About a box of shells thru it. Fit and finish is okay, I guess what you expect on a $500 shotgun. BigB

Hunted Sunday afternoon with a friend that had the 12 ga Tristar O/U. Seemed to be a nice shotgun and killed birds as well as anything. His was very tight and very new but the function was great, the balance was great and the gun fit me quite well. His gun was painted some camo scheme and probably the best finish for shooting in the salt marshes. Don't ask me what happened, when I left Viet Nam, we were winning.

back in 2006 I ordered a couple dozen Tristar o/u's on a special. More than half of them were sent back with broken firing pins. Most of them broke on their first outing. Needless to say, I had some very unhappy customers. Didn't have nearly the problems with their autoloaders. Hopefully they've fixed the problems with the o/u's.

I think I'll stick with what I know and get another Browning Citori. Gonna be 28ga this time. We Band of Bubbas N.R.A Life Member TDR Cummins Power All The Way Certified member of the Whompers Club
