My wife just took me to a local gun shop to give me my presant. I just recived a cz woodcock 20ga.It seems like a pretty well made gun and I can hit quail. (took the back roads home) My question is anyone used the cz's much and how do you like them? Yes she picked it out because it was pretty. Merry Christmas cheers

I haven't used any of their shotguns, but their rifles are great.

The cz's are made by the Huglu Cooperative in Turkey. The orginal importer was Mark DeHaan, down the road from me (DhShotguns.com). They have a reputation for good value for the money.

Not necessarily the gun you want to buy for a 10,000 round per year Sporting Clays habit, but just fine for the casual or serious hunter. JMO, Dutch.

GSP7, My wife informed me that when we got my O/U she wanted the Ringneck SXS. I also think it would be a sweet sxs. The one we looked at was in 410 which was very light. The shop also had a bobwhite which is a step lower than the ringneck and has 2 triggers.I also wanted say I think you have great taste in dogs according to your name.

My squad mate shoots one for the sxs Sporting events. It's not a bad looking gun, a little more clunky than I would like. He is rather fond of it -- and his competition gun is a Krieghoff, so it's not like he doesn't know what a top of the line gun feels like.

I am a little biased against it, 'cause I can't shoot it for squat (but I can't shoot any other 12 ga sxs, either.....). FWIW, Dutch.
