anyone ever hear of a 14 ga. shotgun? i was at a gun auction today and they were selling old shells and boxes. a full box of 14 ga shells brought $180.00 dollars. what is it?

14 ga were made in muzzleloader and also in cartridge guns. The were loaded with black powder, shot charge was around 1 1/8 oz.
