I noticed that CZ is selling one of Huglu's o/u 28ga. Sounds like a neat little gun for under $1,000.00. What are ya'lls thoughts on these? Perry

I would check on UK based websites for a review of these guns. http://www.gunmart.net/gun_review/huglu_103de/ And, if you read such nonsense, Chuck Hawks. http://www.chuckhawks.com/hatfield-cz_shotguns.htm

I bought the Huglu (CZ) SxS in 28 gauge several years ago. For the price I feel it is a pretty good deal. I haven't put that many rounds through it, maybe 500 or so, but have had no problems. These are built on dedicated frames sized to the gauge (as are the O/U's, I believe), so the 28 is a svelte little fellow with a very appealing feel. My biggest complaint is that, like most CZ's, the stock finish is rather opaque and tends to obscure rather than highlight what grain there may be in the Turkish Walnut. The fit and finish are probably better than the price would indicate. These won't be mistaken for a $10,000 Italian or Belgian O/U, but they are several notches above the Russian or Brazilian O/U's currently on the U.S. market and at least a notch above the entry-level Spanish guns.

I hava CZ S/S in 16ga with an English stock. I believe I paid a little over $400.00 for it from CDNN Investments. I beleive the Model is called "Bobwhite". Functions flawlessly on the dove fields. I have put lots of rounds through it. Life Is For Service DRSS
