Ive been daydreaming (actualy most daydreaming involves a pair of Purdeys)about getting a Merkel 60E side lock SXS. What are the main benifits of sidelock VS boxlock to justify the extra cost? Any difference in inherent strength/handling etc??? Any other makers make SXS sidelocks in 3" chambers for reasonable prices?
