Hi All,

I've been offered a Fabarm 'Alpha' 12g O/U shotgun... I think it's a 'field' model. It looks to be well made, and handles very nicely... comes with 5 chokes.

I'm not familiar with the brand, anyone have any knowledge of them?

Thanks...

I have an alpha in the 'paradox' configuration. It handles fine, fit and finish are good for a cheap gun, and the BBLs are well regulated.
The only downside is the inertial cocking system for the second BBL, same as Browning, Miroku or Beretta.
All in all, a good gun.

Cheers, Dave.

This comes from page 178 of my copy of "The Italian Gun"

FARARM S.p.A (Fabbrica Bresciana Armi)
Via Zola, 33 25060 Brescia

FABARM manufactures machine-made autoloading, pump, over/under, side by side, and single barrel shotguns. The Max Lexus is a model that could light a fire under most sportsman. It is a single trigger over/Under boxlock that is available in 12 or 20 guage only. This model comes in field or clay configurations that feature oil finish, pistol grip stocks, ventilated ribs, interchangeable choke tubes, and a handsome canvas and leather gun case. This model is also available in a variation that has been expressly designed for the left handed shooter. FABARM promotes this gun as having superior barrels desinged for true accuracy."

the book doesn't say anything about the Alpha model you speak of.

I guess it all depends on 'how much?' and what kind of shape it is in?

Cheers, Dave.
