anyone own/hunt with either a 24 or a 32 gauge? *We Band of 45-70er's* "Far better it is to dare mighty things, to win glorious triumphs even though checkered by failure, than to rank with those poor spirits who neither enjoy nor suffer much because they live in the gray twilight that knows neither victory nor defeat." -Theodore Roosevelt-

No, but I have used 24-gauge brass to make .577 Snider shells! There is hope, even when your brain tells you there isn’t. – John Green, author

I had a 24 ga for while...of course it was a 18th century style flintlock trade gun. It would shoot .570 patched round balls or 3/4 oz. of #6 shot with equal enthusiasm.

I have a H&H Royal model in 24 gauge. I simply love the little thing....Fiocchi makes the shells and I have found the #8 loading to be the best for doves. JW

I started to buy a very nice O/U in 24 gauge for a very reasonable price a few years ago, but the lack of wads for reloading and relative scarcity of shells scared me off. Besides, the 28 gauge is even smaller and fits my needs better. Now a 32 gauge . . . hmmm, smaller than a 28, but still a "real" gauge as opposed to the small "bore" .410 . . . that might pique my interest despite the troubles it would cause me in feeding it. Who makes one these days?

Both Falco and Investarm make 32ga guns in different configurations. Check out http://www.accardi-importers.com/ for a little info. I have purchased from Vito there before and had great service even if it is hard to understand him on the phone Ballistic Products supports the gauge well. Matthew
