I have this dream of a 12 Gauge gun with a large capacity for hogs. Does anyone have a Benelli auto loader with a slug barrel? How does it work for you? I have owned a m2 in 12 Gauge before and it was a flawless working gun. A lot harder kicking gun than I ever thought it would be.

I have one but since I also use the receiver for duck I have a magazine limitor in it so it will only handle 2 in the mag. It is the stock benelli rifled slug barrel I also use a BPS 20 g deer special The benelli is accurate , I use 3" sabots the only bad thing about this rig is it is heavy. I originally had a VXIII 1.5 to 5 n it but switched to a Bushnell 3200 2-7 which I think is a better match. I generally sight it in at 3" high at 100 and still get great groups out to 200. Should be big medicine on hogs but get a hold of one to get an idea of the weight. The BPS20 is what I generally use, mostly in tree stands, benelli still has a good kick in light of the weight NRA Life Member, ILL Rifle Assoc Life Member, Navy

Thanks, Need something that will work in a populated area, and still drop hogs like thunder.

I know that this thread is old, but I suggest you get a metro barrel to cut the noise in a populated area. It is 32 inches long but very light. It screws into the choke tube threads and you put your choke tube in the muzzle. If you use subsonic ammo the report is about like a car door slamming. Metro barrels are available at kebcollc.com. Benelli recoil . I've had my Benelli M 90 for a long time and was never bothered by recoil. I wonder if those who complain are comparing a Benelli [mine is 7.25 lb] to one weighing a pound more ??? I have even fired it with one hand , holding it like a pistol.
