Folks, just a confirmation here. I just picked up a Beretta 390 for my father for an upcoming trip he's going on to Argentina. Here's my dilemma... the serial number on the barrel and the serial number on the receiver don't match. I'm 99.9% positive they're not supposed to, but I just wanted to double-check. It appears that the barrels are manufactured completely separate and stamped with their own serial number because of that fact. I just wanted to make sure.

The barrels are interchangable and you can buy extra barrels for your 390 (as well as other gas-guns) so it would be a statistical miracle if the numbers did match.

When you fill out the paperwork for US Customs and for Argentina use the SN on the receiver.
