Anyone seen the new Ruger double barrel yet?

No, I've not heard that they are available yet. The new Franchi Highlander double will be available soon and looks like a winner. Given the choice between the two, I'd rather have the Franchi.

I think Ruger stinks in regards to announcing new products and actually getting them out to the public. After all, I am still waiting for the XG-1 (or XG-I, never was quite sure what the correct model number was) to be released. Only been about 20 years. Talked to a Ruger rep about it a couple of years ago and he said it is still in the works!
Not sure he was trying to just placate me, actually telling the truth or just a complete idiot.....Also seems the price has continued to rise on the Gold Label, even though they don't appear to be available...good luck in your quest for a nice SxS....

The latest word from Ruger suggests the Gold Label will be under production late in August.

Unfortunately, Ruger announced the Gold far ahead of having it ready to go to production. Since then, they have altered several design weaknesses and hope to have everything retooled to begin production. The prototype was seen at several SHOT shows etc.
