I just bought a 12/70 sxs shotgun that is probably about 40-50 years old. It says Monte Carlo on the side of the demi-block, has ejectors, two triggers and cocking indicator pins for each barrel. When the safety is on, there's the letter Z visible in front of the lever. It has 1/2 and 1/1 chokes and say "no bullet" under each chamber. and it also has (surprisingly!) a Monte-Carlo style stock. I heard they've been imported here to Finland in the 50's and 60', but that's about all I know of them. Could anyone tell where this gun was made, and how is it with their quality? It was dirt cheap, but seems to be pretty well made, although seen quite a lot of handling. I removed the finish and intend to treat it with dark matt stock oil. Should become a nice-looking gun for wingshooting. | ||
