I am the proud new owner of a 1928 12ga. Ithaca NID that was originally owned by my Grandfather, passed to my father and now to me. We lived very close to Ithaca growing up and have been past the original factory many, many times. I have always wanted to have this shotgun handed down to me and now it is mine to someday pass down to my boys.

Here is the question – my Grandfather was much smaller than me, so the LOP on this gun is at least 3 inches to short for me. It does not look like it has been cut down, like I said, we lived so close to the factory I wouldn’t doubt he was fitted there. Not sure. So in discussing this with my father I mentioned having a new stock made – you would have thought that I had kicked his dog! Don’t touch that stock was the ‘direction’ I was given. I have taken it out but I really want to use it for what it was intended for - hunting. I know that this is splitting hairs but would anyone have a stock in their pile of parts somewhere, NOS or one that they may have saved from another project that they might want to sell? This way I could get the correct dimensions and have a stock that was made by Ithaca.

I can get you the measurements of the current one and what I am looking for if there is something out there..

Thanks.
