I've got a guy wanting to trade me an American Arms "Phantom" 12-gauge autoloader, but I know nothing about the brand and my searches have come up empty. It's supposedly a year old and looked too nice to hunt with so he doesn't shoot it. Are American Arms semi's reliable? He sent me a picture of it, and it's wood-stocked with what looks like the old Browning hump on the rear of the receiver. What would be the value of such a gun? I've been looking for a decent reliable semi-auto 12 gauge and I'd like to be prepared next time I talk to the guy.

Any info or opinions you can give would be much appreciated.
