I was reviewing Magnaport web site and wondered? Anyone have their Pro Port or Pigeon Port done? How was recoil and muzzle lift reduced and how much louder to the shooter? They also list a forcing cone modification which more gradualy slopes the cone. Any benefits and why? Ok for slug use?

Try a ported choke. At least then you'll have an idea if you're really gonna be happy with permanently modifying your barrel.

Pro port does change the sound of the shotgun. It does help hold down muzzle rise and allows for faster recovery when shooting doubles, I can't say I feel any recoil reduction with trap loads and I don't shoot turkey loads with my trap gun. I lengthen the forcing cone on every shotgun I own, patterns are more uniform and usually there is a measurable increase in pattern density, some barrels more than others due to internal dimensions and what the angle/length was before. www.duanesguns.com
