ruger red label problems

i purchased a new ruger red label last year to use on the trap range. i dont shoot a lot of trap, maybe 800-1200 a year. so i didnt need an expensive shotgun, just a reliable one (not what i got!!!). the problems i've had so far are the trigger hesitates occasionally (pull the trigger, slight pause then the gun goes off, i've tried different ammo, same problems), i had it double fire on me once(never suppose to happen!!) and there appears to be a leak in the chamber that builds up "soot" under the front stock. i've sent the gun out to be looked at by a gunsmith. SO MY QUESTION IS: has anyone else had problems with there ruger red labels?

Send it to Ruger, that is warranty work. I do not have one, but a good friend has had several and I do not remember him having any problems.

the problem with that is i live in a semi-remote community in western canada and sending a gun across the border to ruger is a major thing. Heck, sending the gun to the gunsmith was a major thing!!!

Sorry to hear that, does Ruger have a designated repair smith in Canada? Might be worth a phone call or an email.

there is a ruger outfit in quebec but i cant get ahold of them. i actually personally delivered the gun back to the outfit i bougth it from and he is sending it to a gunsmith. shipping firearms in canada has become tricky. i never know what laws i might break by sending firearms.
