I picked up this shotgun in great condition for a song. It's got 28" bbls and handles very well. I'm thinking with a set of 24" or so rifled bbls it'd make a fun heavy cover gun for deer or pigs (with slugs, of course). I've searched online with every word combination on this that I can think of, and no luck. Any thoughts on where I might find some rifled bbls for this gun? ______________________ "The heroes are dead but not all the dead are heroes."

Have you tried any slugs in the Savage the way it is? You might be suprised how it shoots. My little 18.5" 20 ga Savage 311 shoots slugs pretty good to 35 or 40 yards. Just try several different brands and see if there is one your gun likes. DOUBLE RIFLE SHOOTERS SOCIETY

I hadn't tried that yet. I wasn't sure if the fixed chokes could handle it. I'll have to double check but I think one's full and one modified. ______________________ "The heroes are dead but not all the dead are heroes."
