I currently have a full set of factory titanium chokes for my K-80. These chokes pattern nicely and vaporize the clays. I am contemplating going to a couple of aftermarket chokes for Sporting Clays shooting because I have been told that they might be better than the factory titaniums. The aftermarket extended chokes are said to have a longer cone and parallel section, thus throw denser, more even patterns. Just wanting your opinions as to if the aftermarket chokes would be of any benefit over the factory chokes. I am looking at the Extreme Chokes brand of aftermarket chokes. Thanks, Jim

I have a number of Beretta O/Us and have after markets in most of them. I use the after markets to get a constriction that is not available from the factory, or to get a length of extension that is not available. Honestly, in my case, I am not sure it makes a lot of difference or any difference. NRA Patron member

Before spending a bunch on more tubes you might want to read Dr. A.C.Jones book 'Sporting Shotgun Performance'. This guy has done a lot of shooting, research, and analysis. The book has made me very skeptical of the claims some make about their chokes. C.G.B.

p dog shooter, I keep asking myself the same question ! My instructor planted the bug in my ear, if I ever considered aftermarket chokes he recommended this brand. Since he is a championship shooter, I was just considering. Called the mfg. and he told me if my chokes work for me, then I don't need his chokes. Guess that answers the question ! Thanks, Jim
