On another forum there was a claim that someone could outshoot an auto with an 870. My response was that the benelli cycles faster than any auto and and no way that you could pump that fast. They obviously had never seen Knapp in action.

The pump can be equally fast or faster if you shoot loads that have a good bit of recoil; because the speed is limited by how fast you get back on your target. The pump action helps get back on target quickly. With powderpuff exposition loads, the auto has potential to be much faster. FWIW, Dutch.
