Which one ? Old paper 1 1/4 oz is not aviable and federal premium is a little bit expensive here . . . What is yout opinion ?

Jiri: you do want to avoid Sellier & Bellot ? Of course, RWS offers a large choice of 16 gauge shotshells, and so do - but to a lesser extent - Hirtenberger and Hungarian Nike-Fiocchi.

What is your purpose? Generally speaking, assuming modern ammo with full-cup wads, lighter loads, harder shot (more antimony) and slower speeds tend to improve patterns. HTH, Dutch.

Buffered shot also gives better patterns.

Coupla ideas. Don't know what you're gunning, but for pheasants the Federal Premium is supposed to be great stuff. Another load that has impressed me is the hi-velocity version of the B&P F2. This load uses 1 1/32 oz payload and is extremely effective.

These loads are the real deal for longer shots but are likely to pattern fairly tight. If you're looking for a quail/woodcock/grouse load for you mod. barrels you might just try the ubiquitous 1 oz promo loads.

Correction, my shotgun is 3/4 choke, so it could be IM, not M. It is older ZH221 with 28" tubes. Cheap, but good balanced and I like it. I tried S&B papers and there was "holes" in pattern. I mean shot distribution was not constant, so there was some places with a lot of shots and some with no shots, very bad uniformity. So I am looking for something else for general use. Mirage 29g load was much better. Winchester here is not as expensive as federal premium so I will try their 1 1/8 hi speed loads. I am also inetersted in realoding for it, especially in roll crimp cartridges (no problems to load 1 1/4 because more place for shots).
