Thanks guys. Do you think it is easier to hit with the 28 inch vs 26 inch barrels?

i dont think youll be able to beat the skb sxs.. you may need to find a side by side that has imc and mod choke if the skb is full and modified... the ruger and alot of other new guns that have come up in the last 10 years havnt been measuring up on the competition level. a freind of mine has a skb 20 gauge, its light, balanced and always goes bang, and he hits very well with it.. hes bought several other new fitted guns for 3-4 thousand each and none of them matchup to the skb in fit, and birds down for him.. dave.

I have Red Label in 20ga and like it real well. Personally I would go with the 28" - it lessens the perceived noise and the OAL is still less than a 26" barreled auto or pump. www.duaneguns.com

I have both and really don't see that much difference. I guess what it comes down to is personal preference. The theory is that with a muzzle heavy gun you have less tendency to stop your swing, but a few ounces of barrel weight isn't going to make up for poor shooting skills. Stock fit is far more important than a couple inches of barrel length. Stepchild
