Just curious as how many of you have shot a DT10 in any configuration and feel it is or is not worth the extra cost on it's own merits or vs. another make $ for $. Curious.

Best Regards,

I have one but haven't shot it enough to have a valid opinion. I bought is used (left handed, tough to find) and should probably have it fitted to me. Honestly I can hit more with the SBE2 but I certainly wouldn't blame the gun.

My only chance to shoot a DT10 was when a friend loaned me his set up with 32" Sporter barrels for a couple rounds of sporting clays. Like most Berettas that one beat me up a bit on the range because the factory stock fit wasn't quite right. If it was my gun I would have made some adjustments to the stock or possibly ordered the gun with an adjustable stock. Since the stock fit was off I was surprised that the gun shot 50/50 on the patterning board and also shot well on the range.

Overall the gun was very nice looking with a well matched light colored straight grained walnut stock and nitride (?) coated lock with minimal engraving. The old style Greener lock felt solid and was quite compact. The fit and finish were excellent. The gun had the feel of a legitimate competition gun with tens of thousands of rounds in it before it would need any work. I didn't take it apart other than to take it down for casing. A set of trap barrels (not combos) was in the case but I didn't have a chance to use them.

I just wanted to say thanks for the input. I have once again become the owner of a DT 10 trap combo. I wasn't sure if the extra cost was really worth it compared to the 682 E Gold combo. After comparing the two side by side I decided the DT 10 just feels like more gun. I should know by this afternoon. I did adjust the stock yesterday and now I have no excuses if "we" don't shoot well, as it should not be the fault of the gun. Thanks Again.

500,

Sorry I didn't see this earlier, but I think you made the right decision. It's a much better gun than the 682. Much better triggers, more reliable action, less parts to break. I think they feel much better, too. You should be very happy with it, in fact, I think I might buy an O/U for a doubles gun to compliment my Ljutic very soon!
