Ive recently had an opportunity to buy an LC Smith 16 ga Hammerless double. Dont know what model but from looking at not so good pictures it looks to be between 80% and 90% with nice shiney bores. Any idea of the value, I dont have my Blue book with me. Thanks

Depends on a alot and if you want a shooter or collecto.

Things to find out - in no particular order

Ejectors or Extractors? If ejectors, do they work?
Single or double trigger?
Barrel length? Chokes?
Have the barrels been cut? Greatly lowers the value.
Do all the serial numbers match. Another big one.
Is the stock splitting at the back of the locks? Any wood missing. Expensive to replace the butt stock on a Smith.
Any pits in the bore? How bad?
Are the barrel ribs still attached.
Any case color on the outside?
Are all the screws in place and not messed up?
Barrels tight on the action?

And I likely forgot somethings

Yep - What grade is it.
and Steel or Damascus barrels

Anywhere from $200 to $3000.
