I am looking for opinions on the Browning Citori 725. The one that I would buy would be the Sporting 12 bore 30" barrel and so far I really like what I have read but have only seen the skeet gun model in the flesh.
Your input will be appreciated. Thanks.

First off, I am Beretta biased.
I handled a 725 in Cabelas a couple months ago.
I did not like the feel of it and how it came to my shoulder.
I don't know the weight of it, but it seemed heavy.
I have an older Citori among my Berettas and like both better than the 725.

Thanks for the response, df.
Unfortunately the only one I have access for a try-out to is a 26" skeet gun .

I have the 625 field model and love it. Just had to have it. Shot two rounds of skeet with it in the two years I've owned it.

Karoo, what do they want for the 26" gun?

Peter, the 26" gun is owned by a club member and not for sale. I can test it, though.

Karoo, I shoot skeet with 26" barrel guns, a Rem 3200 and a Citori, hence my interest.

Karoo I have the B725 UK Field model, 30" barrels got it last year April and used it for all my wing shooting last year. Really nice gun and I am very happy with it.I was dead set on buying a Beretta until I walked into the gun shop and picked up the B725. On that day I had the opportunity to handle a Miroku M70, Beretta SP1 and SP3, B525 and the B725, a rare occasion in a South African gun shop! After handling them all I happily paid the extra for the B725.

I am a wing shooter that shoots a few clay days every year to sharpen up for the season. So I am no expert but for me the 725 is a great gun and has many of the features that I had been looking for in a new O/U. Feel free to PM me if you have any specific questions
