My brother has a High Standard Supermatic 20 ga. that Dad got him back around 1970. He either never had an Owner's Manual, or lost it. He drug it out of the closet to do some clay pigeon shooting, and, the other day, while cleaning it after an afternoon's shoot, he said "boy, I'd sure like to take the barrel off to give it a good cleaning". We looked and looked, and can't figure out how to get it off there. Anybody have one of these? Or an Owner's Manual? Thanks, R-WEST Load smart. Load safe. Triple check everything. Never use load data from the 'net without checking against known, pressure tested load data. Typo's happen!! I have seen a few older high standard pumps that the barrel did not come off. ****************************************************************** SI VIS PACEM PARA BELLUM ***********

If it is like the one my dad had, the barrel is screwed tighly into the receiver and is not meant to be removed. One morning I shot an elephant in my pajamas. How he got into my pajamas I'll never know. - Groucho Marx
