Looking for a 12 gauge SXS from a maker than will take measurements from me.

I've been looking at the Spanish makers, anyone else I should consider?

Want to spend <$10K.

Anyone at DSC in January 2023 that I should look into?

Thanks

Not many makers of SxS shotguns these day, and having one built by a firm that will custom make it to your dimensions would probably put you over the $10K mark.

I would suggest finding a gun you like, then having Griffin & Howe or one of the trap/skeet places alter it to your dimensions. Clays shooters are very anal about custom fit, and have alterations made to LOP, cast, DAC, DAH etc.

I would look into a nice parker, LC Smith , Winchester 21 ,AH fox ...etc

Have a professional stock fitting done with a "try" gun

Take these dimensions to a custom stock smith and have your gun altered to fit ..

Lots can be done with a rasp/ file , adjustable comb and LOP add or cut , steam bent for cast off/on , etc

You would end up with a guality classic double that is custom fit to you

Agree with all above. Fit is in the stock. I would get a gun you like and have a custom restock. Browning BSS are still affordable and built tuff. Something a bit lighter and way cool is a Lafever Nitro Express. I’m sweet on vintage US shotguns. Fox, LC Smith, Winchester, Lefever, Parker.

Go see the Fausti sisters at DSC. They are known for making very good O/U's but have recently got into the SXS field. The quality of their work is really very good. You can get one of their O/Us for less than 10K. Don't know what their SXS goes for.

I'd have to look at my DSC literature for this year, but I think they're donating a gun for auction. I know they are donating one to SCI.

Check them out.

Good morning, Austin Hunter;

You should look into "Rizzini" shotguns. They are listing new quality side by sides around $5500.

Y'all be good;

Ever heard of CSMC? Not sure if they do a custom stock, but I have a CSMC RBL, Launch Edition in 20ga. Beautiful gun, fitted case, accessories etc. may be worth a look.

I think that S&S from Polson Mt will be at the DSC.
They specialize in shotgun stocks and fitting.

Another thought, if you know your dimensions (or have another gun you shoot well) you might want to consider a top English boxlock gun with dimensions in the ballpark. You can have the stock bent (as well as lengthened via a pad or shortened) to fit and save a considerable amount. The English guns are a great value right now and generally have quite lovely character...

I ordered an AYA No. 2 round action sidelock stocked to my dimensions and should have it in March. The price was less than your $10,000.00. You might also look at the Upland Gun Company. They are importing guns from Italy that are made to customers' specifications and have a list of gun fitters they use.
