Hey CR500 do I what I did and get a Zabala SxS in 10 gauge. Rebel gunworks in Brissy has another going for about $1200. I have the yanks shotshells on the way in bulk order- hopefully another month or so. 2 1/4 ounce loads of birdshot, 18 pellets of 00/Sg buckshot, and the 763gn slug at 1280fps. These guns can handle pressures high enough to load cast slugs to 4500ftlbs-same power as the old 10 bore elephant guns. The poor man's stopper for the discerning pig/scrub bull culler Karl.

SxSs are beautiful and well balanced guns, no doubt about it. However, for serious shooting an O/U is a superior tool.

What do you prefer and why ?? are SXS out dated and obsolete ?? I like the looks of them but they seem to be a dying breed

There is a school of thought that suggests the single sighting plane of the u/o makes them the better clay gun but like all such things there are exceptions I shoot my SXS in comps all the time i shoot better scores with it then my u/o since i have been using it i have noticed a few shooters starting to use sxs's I don't know if this is because someone is using one and doing well ( the old monkey see monkey do approach suddenly people see that sxs's can shoot good scores and think wow i might try out grandads gun)or just a trend I really like the feel of a good gun be it sxs or u/o most guns that i pick up and mount that feel right for me are sxs's I don't know why this is it has to be in the stock measurements but for me most u/o just don't feel right just my 2 cents

You might of said sxs's were becoming obsolete 50 years ago. But just go to the GUN Digest and see all the new ones out there. I have always said that the best shotguns have two barrels and the better ones are SXS.
