Saw this new?? sxs in the most recent issue of Peterson's hunting. What's the story on the quality/durability of Stevens? Need an inexpensive sxs to take to the duck blind this fall. Will this even be produced. I've been waiting on the ruger sxs for a while and have recently heard that it will not even be produced.

From what I understand these are Russian imports. Quality control might be spotty but if Setvens inspects them before shipping they should catch almost all of the bad ones. Most of the problems I've heard about with all the inexpensive doubles are from metal chips left inside.

I'm waiting to see one too.
