I believe that in the case of high end guns,ruger builds a small run and has them available at industry shows and runs ad's trying to peak intrest,long before they have enough product produced. Then they later go into full production when they believe they have enough market. With all of the asswipes that dress up like Billy the Kid and have to shoot era correct guns,you'd think ruger would have a good market for a double,they certainly do with their single action pistols.

Its hard to follow what ruger does. With all the neat guns that they've produced and let die out, like the original .44 mag carbine.

Yeah it all pisses me off. I wrote Ruger and got some excuse that even the ceo himself was waiting for his Gold Label. I give up on them!
