I've been shooting a Browning Cynergy Sporting 28ga 30" for 2 years now. I am not a clays shooter, but rather having fun with doves and Teal. I recently ran across a deal on a Browning 725 Sporting model 32" and dropped the cash. I go to pick it up tomorrow.

I know the 725 is a pound heavier. Anything else I should be aware of? Anyone have experience with both?

Thanks,

Andy B

No personal shooting experience, but at my local trap/skeet club you see a lot of the 725's and have asked them how they like them and all consider they are a quality shotgun for the price paid. Are they a K or P gun, no but a fraction of the cost as well. Most have very nice wood on them if that is a plus to you.
Hunting as you mention will not put near the number of rounds compared to dedicated trap/skeet shooter so should serve you well for a long time. Besides those damn clay pigeons have no taste to them at all.

Can't go wrong with either. Shotguns are like cars and....women. Gotta have more than one.

A half pound here or there, cast off, cast on, right or left grip swell, an extended forearm, long tang, round knob, straight stock, slim grip, tapered rib, a longer or shorter length of pull.....

They'll all get you where you want to go.

In the end, you'll find happiness in more than one.

The joy is in trying out as many as you can can.

Forgive me.

Got my 725 home yesterday and bringing it to firing position was almost a pornographic experience. Despite the longer barrel 32" and extra pound. The shape of the grip is a bit different, but I like it...a lot. The stock has more drop at the comb and at the toe, which being in the ape-armed club suits me fine. I can't wait to get it out and bust some doves. Considering taking it for Teal this weekend unless inclement weather is in the forecast.

My Cynergy Sporting 30" will be looking for a new home and making an appearance in the classifieds shortly. It has less than 300rnds through it, comes with original box and paperwork. I haven't been able to find one for sale for comparison to price appropriately.

If I knew 20yrs ago what I know today, I would have been shooting 28ga all these years. Don't get me wrong, when its time for the long shots on waterfowl I still reach for a 10ga. Have 3 SP10s and a Richland O/U.

Crazy right?!!?

I am a trap shooter. I own a browning bt-99+ it has an adj comb and a gracoil system and I like it. I also own a browning 725 trap w/30" bbls that is also equipped with adj comb and gracoil system I really love. I have never looked at a cynergy but have heard a lot of good things about it
