What are your opinions on the A10 American by Connecticut Shotgun Mfg co. I was looking at them at the DSC show. I cannot speak for the A-10 but I have acquired 2 RBL's. I looked strongly at some AYA and Arrietta shotguns prior to the RBL acquisitions. The Spanish guns were quite a bit more expensive than the RBL and more pleasing to the eye. They were a pleasure to handle. I did a little research on these guns prior to purchase. I was curious as to why the Spanish might make such a fine looking shotgun for around $6K. I was told that many Spanish shotguns incorporated castings in lieu of forgings and did not have the long term durability of some other manufacturers. I believe all the RBL parts are forgings and it is a long life tool that should be problem free. I went to the CSMC facility and had the tour of their gun room and spoke to some of their gunsmiths. They told the the RBL was a more robust gun than the $15K and up Foxes they make; BTW; I am a BIG Fox fan! The A-10 may be a "tank" as well. Made to last! My RBL's have not missed a lick (28 and 16's) Made in the USA! | |||
