Will a Mossberg 500 butt stock fit on an 835? Looking at a cheap set of Mossberg 500 synthetics I'd like to pick up for my 835.

I have a Mossberg 500 which came with short barrel and pistol grip. I got a plastic butt and a 28" bbl with modified choke and rib. Nice for improvised clays shooting with someone else throwing. I seem to see a slight cant of the barrel to the right. The receiver grooves go straight out and the barrel seems to go another way. I follow the barrel rib and sight.
