I came across a pair of Merkel model 8's at the last gun show one 12 ga. and one 20ga. and couldn't resist...

I've only shot the 12 twice with great results!!

Nice birds with 8" and 9" beards...



This one was (above) shot at 20 yards.


This one at 30 yards.

Did you load the spent barrel between birds? Or just wait until it was empty? Beautiful shotun.

I did reload, Chic!..... Big Grin
(Come to think of it...I need to see if the other barrel fires Big Grin )
It's choked IC and MOD and I only used the Mod. barrel.

Both are straight gripped guns, single trigger, extractors. The 12 has 28" barrels and the 20 has 26 3/4" barrels. Both are like new with original boxes etc.

The first turkey was called in from across the road. He was in a field behind a high fence....ran across the field, flew across a high fence, road, and into our laps!!!
