I am thinking of getting the Win SX3 as I have heard so much good about it and handled one and was impressed.I have been shooting SBE's for years(have several) and am really curious about the Newest SX3....So,any feedback is appreciated! Thanks!! "That's not a knife..THIS is a KNIFE" !

I have a Browning Gold 3 1/2 which shares many of the internal parts the SX3 has. First thing that's gonna really surprise you is how little this gun kicks and how quickly you can take follow up shots as a result. I can't emphasize enough the need to degrease these guns and lube them with Breakfree CLP as soon as you get one. The recoil spring tube in the stock needs particular attention prior to the first firing. Mine had a lot of grease in it probably to protect it during shipping. Snake that thing out and degrease the spring and tube. Wet lubes and grease will kill the performance of this firearm.

I absolutely love my SX3. As mentioned, they are made in Belgium as with the Brownings and do share many internal parts. There is very little recoil, it's very easy to disassemble and clean. Mine did not like the Winchester Super Target loads at all. Not enough gas to cycle the empty clear. I now use the Federal Top Gun loads and never had a problem. Most empties will land about 6 to 8 feet away with target rounds. With the 3.5" heavy shot or Remington Nitro Steels, you'll clear 10 feet at times. My hunting partner detests this gun, depending on where he's positioned, he gets hit more often then he cares to with my empties. I usually shoot about 10 to 12 cases a year, and have never had a malfunction to date. But I do confess, I do clean it after every range session. My first time cleaning it, I did use oil and the gun would not cycle. I now use Remington action cleaner and teflon dry lube and no problems since. It's been an excellent shotgun for me.
